The 2022 Coach of the Year and former Port Melbourne boss arrived in Dandenong in 2024, and signed a two-year contract extension midway through 2025.

But nine months on and with the Thunder 11th in the standings - just a point above the relegation zone with three wins through 12 rounds, coach and club have opted to move in different directions.
