South Melbourne will head into the inaugural OFC Pro League semi-finals unbeaten and Leaders Group winners after another big result. Can anyone stop them?

NPL VIC powerhouse South, who were already assured of a final-four berth prior to kick-off, overpowered Bula FC 4-2 at Eden Park.

Jack Pope, Max Mikkola, Andrew Mesourouni and Jordan Lampard were on target for the 2025 Australian Championship winners.

South - who made six changes against Bula FC - are now just one win away from another final.

“If we turn up and perform in the right manner, and apply ourselves the way we want to apply ourselves, it’s hard to stop us,” Sinisa Cohadzic told reporters post-match.

“But the focus needs to be there. The moment the focus drops, funny things can happen.”

South Melbourne already captured the inaugural Australian Championship in December. Now, they’re within touching distance of more silverware.

They are also juggling their NPL VIC commitments as they contend on all fronts, reaching 31 competitive matches across all competitions in the past five months.

“These six months have bee hectic for us as a club and footballers,” said Cohadzic.

South Melbourne will face the play-off winner in the semi-final.

“We played everyone. In every opponent, we had some games where we struggled and where we were very dominant,” Cohadzic added.

“But when you play semi-finals, these are games of moments and players jump out of their skin to play in these games.

“Anything can happen.”
