Marlin Coast Rangers and Rochedale Rovers reached the Australia Cup Round of 32 for the first time in their history on an unforgettable weekend for Queensland clubs.

The Cairns club defeated Logan Lightning 3-1 to reach the Round of 32 for the first time in their history and qualify for the Queensland Cup semi-finals, finally breaking through after suffering heart-breaking quarter-final disappointment at the same stage last year.
Captain Charlie Beverley led from the front with a decisive brace as the Far North Queensland side delivered the biggest result in club history.
The significance extends well beyond Marlin Coast.
For a region often overlooked in Australian football's national conversation, the Rangers have guaranteed Far North Queensland representation on the national stage and provided a powerful reminder that football dreams can be realised outside the major metropolitan centres.
Rochedale Rovers will join them.
The NPL QLD outfit also secured a first-ever Australia Cup Round of 32 berth with a commanding 3-0 victory over Caboolture Sports FC.
Obren Kljajic scored twice, while Harry Talbot found the back of the net as Rochedale continued a season that is rapidly becoming one of the most significant in club history.
While Marlin Coast and Rochedale were making history, two Queensland heavyweights reaffirmed their credentials.
Lions FC booked their sixth appearance in the Round of 32 and first since 2024 with a professional 3-0 victory over Sunshine Coast Wanderers.
NPL QLD's runaway Golden Boot leader Alex Fiechtner was again among the goalscorers, while Jackson Hart-Phillips and Mitchell Hore also found the net as the reigning Queensland powerhouse comfortably progressed.
Then there was Peninsula Power.

Trailing North Star 3-2 in the 77th minute, the NPL QLD leaders looked destined for elimination. What followed was extraordinary.
Four unanswered goals transformed the contest into a stunning 7-3 victory and secured Power's sixth appearance on the national stage.
Niyah Joseph claimed a hat-trick, while club legend Josh Woolley scored twice, including a trademark free-kick, as the Power produced one of the comebacks of the qualifying campaign.
