6 goals in 21 minutes! Playford run riot in NPL SA, Adelaide prospect's magic moment

NPL South Australia completely lost control in Round 8.
Eight-goal blitzes, last-gasp equalisers, long-range screamers and one of the wildest scorelines of the season.
The statement of the weekend came from league leaders Playford City, who somehow turned conceding first into an 8-1 demolition of 10-man Para Hills Knights.
Para Hills stunned the hosts early in the eighth minute. Then everything collapsed.
Playford responded with eight unanswered goals, including an extraordinary six-goal burst in just 21 minutes as the contest spiralled completely away from the visitors.
Patrick McGregor led the destruction, scoring four goals in 16 devastating minutes in one of the individual performances of the season.
But while Playford overwhelmed everyone, Joey Garuccio delivered the moment of the round.
The Adelaide United youngster inspired the Reds’ 3-2 win over Sturt Lions with two goals in the space of a minute.
First came a sublime free-kick that completely caught out the goalkeeper.
Then came something even better.
A sweeping Adelaide United move went from one end of the pitch to the other without a Sturt player touching the ball before Garuccio finished it off to cap one of the team goals of the weekend.
Elsewhere, West Adelaide and MetroStars delivered pure chaos in a dramatic 3-3 draw.
West thought they had found the winner in the 91st minute before MetroStars somehow rescued a point through Antony Rapuano deep into stoppage time.
It was that type of weekend.
FK Beograd continued their strong form with a 3-1 win over Adelaide Comets, while former A-League striker George Blackwood proved the difference as second-placed WT Birkalla edged Adelaide City 1-0.
Croydon FC also banked an important 2-1 victory over Campbelltown City.
