Medin Memeti. Wow.

In less than a week, the Melbourne City young gun scored a dramatic A-League Men Elimination Final goal and then backed it up with a scintillating four-goal haul in NPL VIC.

The 18-year-old academy graduate marked his 50th A-League appearance in dramatic style last week.

Memeti struck in the 94th minute to force extra time away to Auckland FC at Go Media Stadium on Saturday. While City would go on to lose to the Black Knights in a thrilling penalty shoot-out, it was a reminder of the striker’s growing impact in the game at the highest level in Australia.

The teenager ended the 2025-26 campaign with six goals across all competitions, including one in the AFC Champions League Elite.

It was well and truly a breakout season for another of City’s products.

With the A-League season done and dusted, Memeti slotted into City’s NPL side on Friday night and he showed no mercy against Bentleigh Greens, who were humbled 7-0 on home soil.

Memeti was the star of the show with four goals in 48 minutes. He sensationally completed his hat-trick in the first half.

Lawrence Wong, another member of City’s A-League team, was also on target, along with Roland Ballah and Harrison Shillington.
