There is no stopping defending champions South Hobart in NPL Tasmania.

Eight games. Eight wins. And now an 8-1 demolition of fourth-placed Launceston City.

Only six points separated the two sides before kick-off. By full-time, the title favourites had delivered another frightening statement to the rest of NPL Tasmania.

Kobe Kemp and Rex Maddock both scored braces, with Maddock somehow bagging two goals in the space of a minute.

Golden Boot leader Nicholas Morton was at it again too, scoring his 12th goal of an extraordinary campaign.

The chasing pack are already scrambling.

Devonport City remain three points behind the leaders after fighting back to defeat Glenorchy Knights 2-1, while Kingborough Lions climbed into third following a ruthless 7-1 dismantling of Launceston United.

Elsewhere, Clarence Zebras cruised to a 4-0 win at Ulverstone behind a Samuel Tooze double, while Riverside crushed South East United 5-0.

Right now, South Hobart look unstoppable.
