Lukman Ahmed-Shaibu delivered one of the individual performances of the NPL Capital Football season as Monaro Panthers defeated Canberra Olympic 5-2.
The Panthers forward scored four goals, including a 30-minute hat-trick, to power his side to an emphatic victory and keep them firmly in the hunt near the top of the table.
While Ahmed-Shaibu stole the headlines, the biggest fixture of the round ended without a winner.
Second-placed Tigers FC and league leaders Canberra Croatia played out a 1-1 draw in a contest that could prove significant in the premiership race.
David Owusu opened the scoring for Tigers before Michael Katsoulis responded for Croatia, who remain three points clear at the summit and still hold a game in hand over their nearest challengers.
Elsewhere, Queanbeyan City left it late to secure a valuable 2-1 victory over Belconnen United.
With the contest seemingly headed towards a draw, Queanbeyan found an 84th-minute winner to claim all three points.
Brindabella Blues also celebrated a dramatic victory.
Daniel Munoz converted an 88th-minute penalty to hand his side a 1-0 win over O'Connor Knights and secure one of the most important results of their campaign.
