From assistant to main man: Sesay lands Comets job full-time

Adelaide Comets have officially appointed Isaac Sesay as head coach for the remainder of the 2026 NPL SA season following the departure of Tom Overall.

Sesay joined the Comets last year and had already stepped into a leadership role in recent weeks, guiding the squad through a transitional period as the club searched for a permanent solution in the dugout.

Now, Adelaide have handed the reins to a coach they believe understands both the playing group and the identity of the club.

“Isaac knows this group, this club, and what it means to wear the Comets badge,” the club said in a statement.

The move provides continuity for the Comets as they look to stabilise their campaign and push forward during the second half of the NPL SA season.
