By Sacha Pisani11 October 2026
Hamish Gow has cemented his standing among NPL South Australia's leading players after claiming the prestigious Sergio Melta Medal for the second consecutive season.
The MetroStars star was crowned the 2026 NPL SA Men's Player of the Year, successfully defending the honour he won in 2025.
It marks another significant milestone in Gow's long association with MetroStars, having been part of the club since 2016.
A decade on, Gow continues to set the standard in South Australia's top flight, with his latest recognition highlighting both his consistency and longevity at the highest level of state-league football.
The back-to-back triumph adds another chapter to a career built around loyalty to one club, with Gow now celebrating successive individual honours after 10 years at MetroStars.
The Sergio Melta Medal is awarded to the outstanding player in NPL South Australia, making Gow's achievement a significant recognition of his performances across consecutive campaigns.
