Bruno Fornaroli has one game left at Avondale and it’s for an NPL VIC title

Bruno Fornaroli will leave Avondale FC after Saturday’s NPL VIC Grand Final, bringing an impressive chapter in the former Socceroo’s career to an end with one final shot at silverware.
Fornaroli joined Avondale ahead of the inaugural Australian Championship last year and remained with the Avengers for the 2026 NPL VIC campaign and it proved a fruitful decision.
The A-League great finished the 2026 regular season as the NPL VIC Golden Boot winner and helped Avondale reach the Grand Final, where they will face premiers Oakleigh Cannons for the championship.

“Next Saturday will be my final game with Avondale FC and I couldn't be prouder to finish this chapter playing for the trophy!” Fornaroli announced via social media.
“I just want to thank the club, my teammates, the staff and everyone who has been part of the journey.”
Fornaroli also paid tribute to head coach Jonatan Germano, who played an important role in bringing him to Avondale in the first place.
“I’m grateful for the trust, support and opportunity during my time here,” he said.
The Uruguayan-born striker arrived at Avondale following a decorated A-League career with Melbourne City, Perth Glory and Melbourne Victory, while he also represented Australia after becoming eligible for the Socceroos.
His arrival ahead of the Australian Championship was a significant coup for Avondale, but Fornaroli has since shown his quality across a full NPL VIC season.
Now, after finishing it as the competition’s leading scorer, there is one game left - a Grand Final against Oakleigh and an opportunity to leave Avondale as an NPL VIC champion.
