Bentleigh didn't wait long. Adam Piddick has the job
Bentleigh Greens have moved swiftly to appoint Adam Piddick as head coach following the resignation of George Katsakis.
“Their appointments mark an exciting new chapter for our Senior Men’s program as the club continues its commitment to building a strong football culture and pursuing success,” the club said.
“Adam and Andy will lead their first training session with the playing group this week as preparations continue for the remainder of the 2026 season.
“Please join us in welcoming Adam, Andy and their families to the Bentleigh Greens family.”
Piddick arrives with extensive experience at NPL Victoria level, having previously coached two clubs in the state's top flight and earning the league's Coach of the Year award in 2022.
Most recently, he was in charge of Dandenong Thunder before departing the club in May, bringing an end to a spell that concluded during a difficult period for the relegation-threatened side.
Bentleigh will now hope Piddick can produce the same impact Katsakis delivered when he arrived two-and-a-half years ago.
Katsakis inherited a struggling senior program before rebuilding the squad and guiding the Greens back to NPL Victoria at the first attempt. However, with Bentleigh sitting third from bottom and embroiled in another survival battle, the club have again turned to an experienced figure to steer it through a challenging period.
Piddick will take charge of his first training session this week as Bentleigh begin preparations for the remainder of the season.
And his first match in charge will be against former club Dandenong Thunder on Saturday.
